How to use (Customize & Bottle)

1. Prep: Stir base gently to a smooth, uniform consistency (avoid whipping in air).
2. Add fragrance/EO: 0.3–1.0% typical (check IFRA/skin-safe limits for each oil).
3. Additives (optional):
   • Conditioning agents (polyquat-7, behentrimonium chloride blends): 0.2–1%
   • Proteins (hydrolyzed rice/wheat/silk): 0.2–1%
   • Humectants (glycerin, propanediol, panthenol): 0.5–2%
   • Botanical extracts (aloe, green tea, rosemary): 0.1–1%
   • Color: water-soluble dyes or mica dispersed in glycerin; add dropwise
4. Viscosity/thickening (if needed):
   • Salt curve (NaCl): add 0.2–1% salt solution slowly to thicken.
   • Crothix Liquid / PEG-150 distearate: 0.5–2% warm and stir in.
5. Bottle: Pour into clean bottles, cap, and label. Allow 12–24 hrs to reach final thickness and clarity.

Tip: Additives can thin the base; thicken after all additions. Always jar-test a small sample first.

Avoid: raw juices/fresh foods, unfiltered herbal teas (can spoil), heavy oils >3% (can separate), insoluble powders without proper solubilizer.

Directions (Customer Use)

Apply to wet hair, massage into scalp and lengths, rinse thoroughly. Repeat for build-up. Follow with conditioner.

Will it work for curly/coily hair?
Yes—choose Moisturizing or Sulfate-Free variant and enrich with humectants and conditioning polymers.

How much fragrance can I add?
Most fragrances feel best at 0.5–1%; many essential oils max at 0.5% or less. Always check the IFRA certificate.

It got thinner after adding fragrance—what now?
That’s normal. Adjust using the salt curve or Crothix Liquid until you reach your target thickness.

Is the preservative sufficient after I add botanicals?
Yes for clean processing and total add-ins ≤3%. For complex actives or higher loads, ask us about a booster preservative.
